The NEK part of the website name stands for NorthEast Kingdom. It is a special part of Vermont, the northeast corner, made up of three counties - Caledonia, Essex and Orleans. The total area is about 1.3 million acres of rolling hills, small towns, mountains, lakes, streams, rivers, dairy farms and two well known ski area's (Jay Peak and Burke Mountain). The NEK region is bordered on the east by the Connecticut River and the north by Canada. It is known for it's large area's of undisturbed forestland and state and federal wildlife management area's. My photo's are primarily from this area and consist of wildlife and some landscape photo's. In addition I have included wildlife and landscape photo's of other area's of our country and the world including Alaska, Canada, Africa, Panama, and Ecuador. All photo's are of Animals, Birds, and Insects in the "Wild" except those shown in the Captive Gallery.
I hope you enjoy visiting this site and viewing these birds, mammals, insects, amphibians and fish. Stop back in the future as I will continue to add photo's that I think are worthy of your viewing. If you have questions or need help please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
